AUR40620 CERTIFICATE IV IN AUTOMOTIVE ELECTRICAL TECHNOLOGY

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who work as master diagnostic technicians in the automotive service and repair industry; servicing, diagnosing and repairing vehicle electrical systems and components. A range of advanced electrical diagnostic skills and knowledge is necessary, and leadership and supervision of others would be expected.

  • BSBWHS411 – Implement and monitor WHS policies, procedures and programs.
  • AURLTB104 – Diagnose complex faults in light vehicle braking systems.
  • AURLTD109 – Diagnose complex faults in light vehicle steering and suspension systems.
  • AURETR034 – Develop and apply electrical system modifications.
  • AURTTR101 – Diagnose complex faults in engine management systems.
  • AURETH101 – Depower and reinitialise battery electric vehicles.
  • AURETH011 – Depower and reinitialise hybrid electric vehicles.
  • AURTTA021 – Diagnose complex system faults
  • AURETR137 – Diagnose complex faults in light vehicle safety systems.
  • AURTNA001 – Estimate and quote automotive vehicle or machinery modifications.
    • Be at least 18 years of age
    • Must have completed AUR30320 Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology or be able to demonstrate equivalent competency.

    ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
    Those undertaking this course are required to have completed (AUR30320) Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology or equivalent qualification or be able to demonstrate equivalent competency. International students must be of 18 years of age and possess an IELTS overall band score of 5.5 or equivalent. Those who do not meet the minimum IELTS requirement will be referred to an accredited English Language Training provider to undertake an English language course prior to commencing the qualification.
     
    COURSE DURATION
    The course is delivered over 26 weeks on full time basis. It is divided into 2 terms.
