Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who perform a broad range of diagnostic, servicing, and repair tasks on a variety of light vehicles (cars, SUVs, light trucks) in the automotive retail, service, and repair industry. Graduates are equipped to operate with technical competence, applying knowledge of mechanical systems, tools, and diagnostic strategies to maintain vehicle performance.

Entry requirements

Be at least 18 years of age

Have an IELTS score of 6.0 or equivalent (test results must be no more than 2 years old.)

Course duration

The course is delivered over 52 weeks on full time basis divided into 4 terms.
